Water Leaks

Water leaks can sometimes be tough to locate, and oftentimes, the source of the leak may not be located near-visible water damage. And if left unprepared, water leaks can cause damage to walls, flooring, cabinetry and even furniture. Because the biggest problem with leaks is that they involve water, and as we all know, water travels fast leaving costly damage in its wake.

Drain Clogs

Clogs occur most commonly in kitchens and bathrooms. Food particles and grease first build-up inside your kitchen sink’s p-trap. However, these culprits can continue to build up further along the line and can eventually clog kitchen sinks.

In your bathroom, hair and soap residue can cause your shower and tub drain to slow down and eventually completely clog over time. Toilets are also prone to a number of stoppages as well.

Just like a stoppage in the main sewer line of your home, drain clogs can cause backups resulting in damage to your walls, flooring and even your furniture. It’s best to call McWilliams Heating, Cooling and Plumbing and have these clogs resolved before they turn into costly repairs.

Faucet Repairs

Faucets simply hold back water when turned off and regulate water flow and temperature when turned on. Water is always circulating throughout the plumbing in your home and kept under intense pressure. The faucets in your home can and do wear out over time from continued use. They’ll likely give you a warning that the fixture is beginning to fail by starting to leak when shut off.

Leaky faucets are often a quick and easy repair—a project often tackled by homeowners themselves. However, to avoid creating more damage, it’s best to call McWilliams Heating, Cooling and Plumbing to help with these repairs.

Toilet Repairs

Customers most often need a plumber when their toilets are not functioning properly. Toilets can run problem-free for many years, but eventually, over time, their components will wear out from frequent use. Most homeowners have also experienced a clogged toilet from time to time, as well.

Garbage Disposals

Your garbage disposal is one of the most used machines in your home. And because of its routine use, it’s common for issues to occur. Heavy use, water hardness, and clogs can all cause your garbage disposal to malfunction. Repiping Services

Rusty, Leaky, Galvanized Pipes? We Offer Both Complete Home And Horizontal Repiping Services.

Depending on when and where your home was built, it’s only a matter of time before rusty pipes cause a major leak in your home. Look for signs that the pipes in your home or deteriorating. It may be time to call and schedule an appointment with one of our repiping specialists.

Pex Piping

A cross-linked polyethylene pipe, most commonly known as “PEX,” this piping is cost-effective, flexible, durable and rust-resistant. This material can be used for both hot and cold uses.

PEX won’t corrode like traditional plumbing piping systems, such as copper. This is especially beneficial if you live in an area where water is acidic. Copper will corrode over time, whereas PEX is unaffected by acidic water. When compared to PVC piping, PEX is less likely to burst when exposed to freezing temperatures, because of its ability to withstand expansion from freezing water. It is also much more flexible, making turns and curves traditional pipes can’t. This reduces the number of tie-ins and connections, making it ideal for new construction and remodeling projects. PEX is also available in different colors—red and blue being the most popular to keep track of hot and cold-water lines.

McWilliams Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing uses PEX piping on all piping and repiping services unless otherwise requested by our customers.

Slab Leak Detection & Repair

A slab leak or any number of water leaks waste more than 10,000 gallons of water in the average single-family household each year. With growing drought concerns and ever-increasing water rates throughout Polk County, this is a major concern. Not to mention, leaking pipes, fixtures, and appliances are annoying, can damage your home, and even become hazardous to your health.

A slab leak is a serious plumbing problem that occurs in the slab or foundation of your home. If left unaddressed, a slab leak can cause extensive damage, including damage to the structural integrity of your home. If you suspect that you may have a slab leak, it’s important that you schedule slab leak detection and repair services as soon as possible.

Sewer Stoppages

Sewer stoppages are caused by an obstruction in your main sewer line. This could be caused by a broken pipe. Many older homes used cast iron pipes in sewer and septic systems. It’s also common for tree roots to intrude and breakthrough lines, and sometimes, it could be another obstruction in the line causing a blockage.

McWilliams Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing uses a camera to visually inspect your sewer lines to detect any damage or blockages. We’ll diagnose the cause of the stoppage and recommend the best solution for your specific problem.
